Bench Jockeys

In the 1920s and 1930s the Cubs were known as the biggest bench jockeys in the league.

What is a bench jockey? It's a player or manager who sits on the bench during the game and taunts the opposing team. The Cubs were so bad that the Commissioner had to step in to get them to stop it.

That story is today's Tale from a Bad Century.
